To fit with the fictive narrative, the title page suggests “Second Edition”, but this is a true first and signed with a giant ‘Z’ on the fly leaf, another giant ‘Z’ with a date of “November 3, 2000” on a page, between the Forward and Intro, that reads “This is not for you.”. Very fine copy.
Laid in is a small square collateral flier for Poe (Danielewskis sister) – Listen to the House, POE, June 2000. The back has a Publishers Weekly blurb about the book and details to of the recording studio that did the album. This is an amazing book. Horror story? Metafiction? Postmodern? Romance? Thriller? Philosophy? Scifi? Madness? Most likely all of the above. A very fun read.
