Bound in blind-stamped brown cloth with gilt spine lettering and black decorative elements. Features full-color plates and wood engravings. Light edge wear and rubbing to corners. Previous owner’s stamp on front free endpaper. Light foxing on endpapers. Binding remains solid. An important work on kidney disease and albuminuria, reflecting late 19th-century medical advancements. Very Good.
B) Tilt, Edward John. A Handbook of Uterine Therapeutics and Diseases of Women. New York: William Wood & Co., 1881. Quarto, 328 pp.
Bound in matching blind-stamped brown cloth with gilt spine lettering. Detailed table of contents covers modes of examination, uterine surgery, antiphlogistic medication, and more. Light foxing on endpapers. Fading at the top of both boards, with a small nick to the cloth on the rear board exposing the underlying board. Light wear to head and heel of spine and corners. Binding tight. Good.
